Prior to joining the Alabama State Port Authority in 2014, Mr. Lawler had over 20 years of experience in the transportation and logistics Industry, specifically in operations, customer service and sales management. He has worked for Inchcape Shipping, C.H. Robinson, Norton Lilly, and CG Railway, where he oversaw sales and marketing in a territory covering the eastern U.S. Mr. Lawler currently serves as the director of trade and development for the Port Authority engaged in carrier sales and cargo business development for the Authority’s container intermodal business line. Mr. Lawler serves on the board of directors for the Japan America Society of Alabama, and is a member of the Alabama District Export Council, the Export Alabama Alliance as well as the Propeller Club of Mobile. Mr. Lawler is a graduate of Elon University in North Carolina.
