Matt Wartian serves as a business development manager at Burns & McDonnell, focused on making our ports and maritime clients successful by delivering innovative approaches to solve sustainability and natural resource management issues for development, transportation, and renewable energy projects. Since joining Burns & McDonnell, Matt has led teams to develop energy management plans for seaports that address resiliency, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability goals; assess the feasibility of electrifying operations and deploying distributed energy resources; and plan, design, and construct solar + battery energy storage microgrids. Matt’s current focus is helping ports and other transportation clients electrify their operations and incorporate onsite renewable energy generation and storage to reduce their carbon footprint and increase resiliency.
